So here is the rough sketch-up...please don't laugh. It is our FIRST attempt. :) Bear with us...we are newbies....

* Front porch:
(Must Haves) = nice door with side lights, water spicket, door bell, basic landscaping, sidewalk to carport, 2 or more electrical outlets, water spicket
(Nice to Haves) = outdoor fans, large stone planters, austin stone facing 1/4 way up front of house
* Carport:
(Must Haves) = 3 or 4 car, entrance to mudroom/laundry room, 2 or more electrical outlets, water spicket
(Nice to Haves) = tractor parking, storage built in
* Back Porch:
(Must Haves) = 2 sets of sliding/french doors into house, fans, water spicket
(Nice to Haves) = basic landscaping, outdoor kitchen {counter & sink - already have grill}, firepit
INTERIOR FEATURES:
* Laundry/Mud Room
(Must Haves) = counter for folding, place for chest freezer and beer fridge, drying rod for hanging clothes, storage for vacuum, mops, etc, access to carport
(Nice to Haves) = sink for soaking, built in lockers/shelves for each family members stuff
* Kitchen
(Must Haves) = solid countertops, large farm/apron sink, eat at island for 4-6 people, fridge (french door with bottom freezer), drop in gas range (4-6 burner), french doors/sliding doors to outside, recessed lighting, lots of storage
(Nice to Haves) = concrete counter tops stained & glossy 6 burner stove
* Living Room
(Must Haves) = gas/wood burning fireplace, french/sliding doors to outside, electrical plugs in floor & wall, ceiling fans, wiring & mount for television,
(Nice to Haves) = built in entertainment center, built in dry bar, double sided fireplace into master suite
* Master Bedroom
(Must Haves) = ceiling fan & recessed lights on dimmer, wall sconces on his/her side of bed with switches by bed
(Nice to Haves) = window seat, wall mount television, large window into living room up by ceiling (to make it seem more open)
* Master Bathroom
(Must Haves) = Double vanity, separate soaking tub & walk in shower (without a door), framed mirrors, enclosed toilet, walk in closet, recessed lights on dimmers, ceiling fan, frosted window, lots of storage, tall toilet
(Nice to Haves) = concrete countertops, separate his/hers closets, double sided fireplace into living room, tile shower
* 2nd Bedroom
(Must Haves) = large closet with built in cubbies for toys/shoes/etc, windows, fan, recessed lights on dimmers
(Nice to Haves) = window seat, built in bench with toy storage, window near ceiling into living room for more openness
* 2nd Bathroom
(Must Haves) = shower/tub combo, sink with long vanity, toilet, en suite entrance into 2nd bedroom, entrance into mudroom or living room
(Nice to Haves) = tile tub surround, concrete vanity top, storage
* Loft
(Must Haves) = staircase, flooring (carpet or laminent wood), storage (closet/cabinets), wiring for tv mount, lights on dimmers, fan, window for outside light
(Nice to Haves) = built in bunk beds, spiral staircase with slide
Here are a few pictures of some of the features we mentioned to give you an idea of what we are looking for... some of these are niceties not necessities, we need help deciding which are which.
This cutout window from the bedroom to the living room makes the bedroom feel more open.

Exterior of house (maybe???) This is from the Mueller Metal Building website of prefabbed buildings...it was part barn and the sides were a lot different. This is where my sketch-up inspiration came from with many "tweeks"
